NoMix Valve Cartridge Solves Your Mixing Problems

For MIXET® and Moen® brand tub/shower valves

Install Tips

Tips for a quick and proper installation.

  1. Most NoMix installs take less than an hour, but each install is unique. Give yourself plenty of uninterrupted time to complete the job.
  2. Read and understand the operating instructions and the installation instructions before you begin working.
  3. Have your parts and tools at hand and keep your work area organized. Take care not to lose small parts, such as washers or rings from your old or new equipment.
  4. Make certain the Mixet valve is properly deburred. 99% of all installation problems result from a torn or damaged boot when installing the replacement cartridge.
  5. The Mixet valve retainer nut has a plastic washer that must be in place or water will leak. Take care not to lose this washer when removing the old cartridge.
  6. Post the operating instructions after the repair is complete to avoid tenant frustration and possible damage to the cartridge. The NoMix cartridge pulls out to turn on water, twists left and right to adjust temperature and pushes in to stop water flow. Tenants may try to turn the shower handle from force of habit, and thinking the handle is stuck damage the unit by forcing it to turn.
